About WatchGuard DNSWatch

DNSWatch is a cloud-based subscription offering that can be used to save your network devices and users from malicious domains. DNSWatch analyzes DNS requests without any connection protocol, type, or port and whether the access is made on or off your network. 

When someone tries to visit a filtered or malicious web domain, a block sign appears on the browser. DNSwatch starts as a subscription service on your browser. Before you can enable the DNSWatch feature and configure it on your browser, you require a DNSWatch license to your Firebox feature key.

DNSWatch Protection

DNSWatch provides two types of protection:

Network Protection – DNS protection and information filter enforcement on your network without a Firebox. 

• To save your network without a Firebox, learn about DNSWatchGO Protected Networks 
• To save your network with a Firebox, permit DNSWatch on your Firebox.

Off-Network Protection – DNS protection and data filter enforcement on portable assets that know the DNSWatchGO Client or the installation of DNSWatchGo to Chrome extension.
